I just realized one more thing! It seems like I started off with little hair, and looking in the mirror seems like I'm about to circle back to square number one!

Aye I made it, I'm 30 years and 3 days old! This roller coaster, called life, has been quite a ride with plenty of ups and downs - it even offers a few free water splashes that you don't have to pay for, so you better enjoy them! I like to think of life as a never ending journey of exploration - a journey through which one reinvents, rediscovers and re-creates oneself a gazillion times, evolving and developing and further developing our understanding of life with its different aspects and avenues. However, I took 30 minutes and 3 seconds to summarize in 30 bullets some of what I've learned thus far. Maybe one day you and I can sit down look at this and laugh at how silly and foolish I was at the age of 30 . . . so, without further ado, here's the list:

  1. Happiness comes from within!

  2. You can’t force someone to love you.

  3. The best gift someone can give you is their true friendship.

  4. You're not rich until you have something money can't buy; for examples refer to numbers 1 through 3.

  5. We all go through hardships, but our reactions shape our journey and what we become. Always choose being beautiful over being bitter. Do not let anguish or despair in, they only bring bitterness never beautifulness.

  6. People are inherently good. Unfortunately, society has worked its magic transforming many of us into walking monsters – but I still have some hope, I hope you do too.

  7. All human actions are motivated at their deepest level by one of two emotions – love or fear. [Neale Donald Walsh]

  8. Your boss is as important as your partner if not a little more; choose your boss wisely. A bad boss can ruin your life, even your sex life.

  9. A boring job can kill you slowly, trust me.

  10. You can’t help someone that’s not willing to receive/accept your help.

  11. There are worse things than being single – example a bad marriage.

  12. Time wasted cannot be recycled.

  13. Religion is nothing but your perspective on the world. A relationship between you and a higher power, as some might see it, which is more malleable and ever-evolving than many think of it.

  14. Everyone thinks God is on their side. [Okay maybe most not all]

  15. No one gets to choose their family. You didn’t choose yours, so don’t judge anyone for theirs.

  16. Our differences are only skin deep; politicians and brainwashed people would beg to differ, but whatever.

  17. Pride should come from personal achievement, not the country on your passport.

  18. Life isn't fair, life will whup your butt so badly, deal with it!

  19. Life starts at the end of your comfort zone.

  20. It’s not easy changing your life. Humans are reluctant to change, even though the only constant in life is change itself.

  21. Everyone is fighting a battle, so be kind, stay humble and don’t be a douchebag to others – especially those who are less fortunate.

  22. A little bit of melancholy is not as bad as some may perceive it; just be careful not to dwell.

  23. You only regret the risks you never took, chances you never seized and tries you never attempted. The future is yours and your last chapter is yet to be written.

  24. Don’t watch TV, or at least try and keep it to a minimum.

  25. Give and accept constructive criticism, not judgment.

  26. We’re all a little bit weird – myself included.

  27. It takes two to Tango, not me, not you, but us two. Together we can make it but it only takes one to break it.

  28. Family - Love Them, Hug Them.

  29. Life isn’t black or white, but shades of gray - just like this entire list.

  30. Lastly, unlike Freud I haven’t spent 30 years researching the feminine soul trying to answer the greatest question that has never been answered. I’m probably about half way there to getting to the same conclusion that is: I don’t know what women want!
